The San Diego Space Society was founded in 2008 with the purpose of raising awareness and educating the general public to the benefits of human exploration of space and San Diego's role in space development, as well as to the idea of creating a spacefaring civilization within our lifetimes.

SD Space meets monthly at the Serra Mesa Branch Library and participates in space-related events around San Diego Country and Southern California. The general public is welcome to attend any meeting listed on this site.

Lego Space Men by Gaetan LeeMembership in the San Diego Space Society (a chapter of the National Space Society) entitles you to receive our quarterly newsletter, plus voting rights at General Membership meetings. Annual membership dues are $20 per mailing address. To become a member, fill out our online membership form.

National Space Society membership

NSS membership gets you a subscription to Ad Astra magazine and the NSS Downlink email newsletter, plus discounts on the ISDC and space-related products and services. When you join, be sure to enter our chapter code (596) to let them know we sent you.

Members and the general public are welcome to join the San Diego Space Society group mailing list or attend one of our regularly scheduled meetings.
