SHARP gun tour

Wed, Apr 20, 2011

6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Location:
Studio Diner (map)
4701 Ruffin Rd, San Diego, CA 92123
Quicklaunch plans to launch payloads to space using hydrogen gas gun technology. It’s genesis is the SHARP hydrogen gas gun which was built by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and operated through the 90s.

Many of us have seen John Hunter’s presentation at SpaceUp or via Google’s Tech Talk on YouTube. Now work is progressing on an XPrize that supports this and other inexpensive alternative launch methods.

Join us for a tour of the SHARP gun hardware on Wednesday, April 20th. Meet at the Studio Diner at 6pm. Erik Robinson will lead the tour from there.

Members and the public are welcome to attend. Email events@sdspace.org to RSVP.
