Traxxas Summit rover chassisGet together with other SD Space members to work on space-related projects. This month we’re still recovering from the San Diego Science Festival Expo and Yuri’s Night, but we still have an awesome project to work on.

After the Expo, an anonymous donor gave The Mars Society – San Diego a Traxxas Summit chassis for possible use as a base for the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) quarter-scale model we’re working on. This thing is huge, and it climbs over pretty much anything in its path, including people!

This and the other Mars rovers need some work in order to be ready for Space Day on May 9th. Please RSVP to events@sdspace.org if you’re interested.
