March General Meeting

Sun, Mar 8, 2009

2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Location:
Serra Mesa Branch Library (map)
9005 Aero Dr, San Diego, CA

Join us on Sunday, March 8th for the San Diego Space Society general meeting. This month we’ll discuss the San Diego Science Festival, specifically the SD Space and Mars Society San Diego booths at the Festival’s Expo Day. We have two pressing needs for that day:

Volunteers. The Expo will be a full day, so we’ll need lots of volunteers for multiple shifts. If you’re willing to staff a booth for as little as two hours on April 4th, contact events@sdspace.org to get on the list and come to this general meeting to get the details.

Helping hands. The booths will be interactive, hands-on, and lots of fun for all involved, but we have a lot still to design and build. The SD Space booth theme is rocketry, with attendees designing, simulating, building, and launching water rockets. The Mars Society booth centers around the Mars Rovers and potentially the Mars Pod. Whether you’re better with paper, PVC, electrons, or plywood, we have a task for you to work on.
