JPL Tweetup Photos and Video

JPL TweetupLast week’s Tweetup (meeting of Twitter followers) at JPL was a huge success and a lot of fun. Space enthusiasts, space notables, and JPL scientists and engineers all got together to talk about JPL projects like the Mars Exploration Rovers, Mars Phoenix, Cassini-Huygens, and the upcoming Mars Science Laboratory.

I’ve posted a set of photos from the Tweetup, and you can view video of the first hour on UStream. If you want something quicker,  videographers at JPL posted a great summary video to YouTube.

SD Space member Patrick and I can be seen talking to Veronica McGregor, known on Twitter as the voice of @MarsPhoenix, at about the 48-second mark.  (The “whoo!” guy with the iPhone close-up at the end would be me.) Also, our new friends from the Google Lunar X Prize are visible at around the 45-second mark.
